One weekend every summer the Castlepoint Race Club holds its one and only race meeting, on the beach. For nearly forty years this annual event has drawn a large crowd of punters and onlookers cheering on the horses as they thunder along the sand. What time the race starts is dependent on the tide, the stakes are not very high, but there is always a queue at the totalisator!
